3 Quick Success Tips to Reset Your Resolutions

January seems to fly by each year regardless of how chaotic your holidays may have been the breakneck pace seems to crash us all. Each year I get really excited meeting new people who come into my care the same way I would guess a kindergarten teacher might feel when bright smiley faces enter their classroom. When I began training I was aware my all in mindset wasn’t for everyone so I found the best way to help other people is to treat everyone like a loved one and it just so happened to make me an even better athlete.

Quit is a filthy word in my mind and I use that attitude to love your goals as much as you. I don’t win when you win, I win when you’re enjoying yourself.

Here are my favorite ways to create daily changes that yield huge results:

1.Plan to add

Trying new foods and recipes takes the minutia out of changing your diet. You aren’t a monk and feeling restricted often leads to rebellion.

  • Add one protein a day or a serving of vegetables

  • Increase your greens or try new ones. If you aren’t very veggie friendly make it an adventure to find ones that excite you to eat them.

  • Serving of water, small step or sips can change the game here

    • Try an Herbal tea at night for a more restful sleep

2. Let it go

  • Being human is hard enough without your self talk bullying you. Don’t let one night out make you throw in the towel you need to live your life. It would be like letting someone who cut you off in traffic ruin your day.

  • A great way to bounce back from a super sweet night is to treat it like a hangover, eat fat with breakfast it will help get you back on track and stop the sugar from messing with your gut biome too much. Adding a bit of guac to my eggs always helps me

3. Adventure in your exercise

  • Hiking, running, walking your dog, walking your friend, or a lap around the building during your lunch can create positive momentum in your day you can feel good about and help support your exercise efforts in the gym.
