Ta-Da Lists are the New To-Do List

Making To-Do’s into Ta-Das!

Growing up I was as precocious and as wildly excitable as I am now and my method for management of my myriad of hobbies and interests often allows my desire for doing to consume me. I work hard the same way everyone I know does and my refusal to stop made for an interesting couple weeks that took me off the blogger-sphere and instagram all together. This is when I discovered Ta-Da lists! To-do lists can be stressful and that’s probably why we all lose them or even ignore them. In my own experience it can be detrimental to focus on the small things that we didn’t do when the two items you crossed off the list were the most arduous and intimidating to complete.

Starting your TA-DA list:

  • Begin with a sheet of paper and whatever writing implements suit you best. I love adding color when I am writing something fun.

    • add detail when you can, is this a big step towards something better or was it hard making yourself a doctors appointment because you don’t like going but you know it’s the best thing for you.

  • Add tasks that are a step in the right direction for you.

    • Did you clean out your closet but still needed to call about donation pick up? Cleaning out your closet is a giant WOW all on it’s own. Maybe your bought the flowers you’ll plant but didn’t finish it today. The effort was there and the time was spent being productive, you deserve to feel good about where you are.

I am always so willing to give credit where credit is due and I do my best not to forget myself. Even though I want to do 100 things today I can be happy if 18 big ones get checked off the list too!
